Open the Stacks

Six capabilities, one library. Here is what each one does, who it saves time for, and where it slots into the way your team already works.

  1. Backlinks and the knowledge map
  2. Freshness tracking
  3. Live editing and margin comments
  4. One search across every source
  5. Verified answers
  6. Permissions and audit trail

Freshness tracking

A Review Clock on Every Page

Each page has one owner and one review cadence: 30, 60, 90 or 180 days. When the clock runs out the owner is pinged, and the page carries an amber flag until someone confirms it or edits it.

What you getReaders can see at a glance how old an answer is, and the person who can fix it hears first.

In your workflow: Set a cadence once per section, then clear the Freshness queue on Monday mornings with the bulk nudge.

Live editing & comments

Argue in the Margins, Not the Channel

Colored cursors show who is where. Suggestions appear as tracked changes you accept or dismiss, and every comment stays pinned to the sentence it questions until someone resolves it.

What you getThe reasoning behind a change lives next to the change, so nobody reopens the same debate in six months.

In your workflow: Let reviewers suggest, let the owner accept, and resolve comments as you go.

Half-way down the shelf

Verified answers

A Badge That Settles It

An owner marks a page as the answer, and the badge carries their name and the date. When the review clock expires, the badge asks to be re-verified rather than quietly staying green.

What you getOne trusted page per question, with a name behind it and a date you can check.

In your workflow: Verify the ten pages your support and people teams get asked about most, then widen from there.

Permissions & audit

Share the Shelf, Lock the Cabinet

Grant view, edit or publish rights by space, page or person. Sensitive pages stay hidden from search results for people who can’t open them, and every change lands in a log you can read.

What you getFinance and people pages can live in the same library as the rest without being open to everyone.

In your workflow: Restrict a space on day one, then add members as they join the team.

Under the floorboards

Integrations, Security and Staying Up

The library only works if it reaches your other tools, protects what’s inside, and is there when someone needs an answer at 2 a.m.

Reads From Where You Write

Connect once, then let search and imports pull from the tools your team already uses. Imported threads become draft pages you can sort in bulk.

Security Basics, Spelled Out

Access follows the permissions you set, and the Archive plan adds the controls larger teams ask for.

  • Space, page and person-level permissions on every plan from Shelf up
  • SSO and SCIM provisioning on Archive
  • Audit logs and custom retention policies on Archive
  • Restricted pages hidden from search for those without access

History You Can Rewind

Every edit is versioned, so a bad change is a click away from undone.

  • One year of version history on Shelf, unlimited on Archive
  • Restore any earlier version of a page
  • Live service notes on the Status page
